Hi, I am Kim, a quirky colour pop artist!

Before anything…let me start with one of the motto’s I live by every day ‘Be the reason someone smiles today’. That is what I want, and this website came forth out of that. Not just to show you my art (which hopefully also brings a smile to your face), but to join me on my art journey and read my stories, which will hopefully make you smile (too).

In these stories I will share that as a self-taught artist life can be challenging, but also lots of fun and I love to share the good, the bad and the hilarious. Check out my blog page for regular updates.

I am a Sydney-based artist. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I have been creating since a little girl; writing, drawing, sewing, painting, jewellery making, sculpting and more. Over the years I have focused mainly on painting. Painting for me is like being all zen and in my own little world. I love it. It is like meditation, my HAPPY place.

I mainly find inspiration in nature and the outdoors and love the use of acrylic paints. My big love is for colours, bold works and to express happiness.

I love abstract, I love realism, I love expressionism… so hard, I love it all. If I would have to define my style, I would say I am a colour-pop artist who creates.

My biggest aim is to bring joy to people when they look at my art works.

Every work is made filled with love, positivity and happiness and hopefully the collector will feel these vibes too.

My favourite subject matter is flowers and nature. I love bringing them to life on canvases and paper.

I am a self-taught artist and have been lucky to have had several very inspiring mentors over the last 1.5 years that pushed me to even starting my own website and make me be able to say out loud that I am an artist.

Life is already serious enough as it is, and I want to bring joy to people’s everyday life.
